PsiQuantum to Build World's First Utility-Scale Quantum Computer in Brisbane

PsiQuantum, a quantum computing company, will build the world’s first utility-scale quantum computer near Brisbane Airport in Australia. The Australian Commonwealth and Queensland governments will invest an undisclosed amount in PsiQuantum through equity, grants, and loans.

The company aims to have the site operational by the end of 2027. The quantum computer will be fault-tolerant and will be able to solve commercially useful problems in all industries that rely on chemistry, mathematics, and physics.
