Chainlink Announces that Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) Has Entered General Availability (GA)

Chainlink, a decentralized computing platform, has announced that its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) is now generally available (GA).

Any developer can use the CCIP to securely transfer onboarded tokens cross-chain, send arbitrary messages to smart contracts on other Blockchains, or send data and value together through CCIP’s unique support for Programmable Token Transfers.

Supported Blockchains include Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Kroma, Optimism, Polygon, and WEMIX, with more to come. CCIP’s arbitrary messaging capabilities allow developers to create cross-chain smart contracts that send data and trigger function calls on smart contracts deployed on other Blockchains.
