Vercel, the company that developed the Next.js framework, has declared the beta version of its v0 offering publicly available.
The waitlist has been eliminated, making room for the more than 100,000 individuals who were previously on it. v0 is a generative AI product that was first introduced in October 2023 and enables businesses to quickly create web interface elements in response to prompts. It will take the prompt and generate a component for users to integrate into the codebase using open-source tools such as Tailwind CSS, Shadcn UI, and React.
The website now provides sample elements based on multiple sample prompts, such as a dark-moded hero section, a cookie consent banner, and a contact form.
