UNFCCC Partners with Microsoft to Use AI and Advanced Data Technology to Track Global Carbon Emissions

UNFCCC

The United Nations and Microsoft Corp. announced a partnership that allows the UNFCCC to create a new AI-powered platform to measure and analyze global progress in reducing carbon emissions.

The new AI and data tools will allow nations to measure emissions in better ways at the current time. The partnership will build a framework for all nations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and limit global warming. However, it will require technology for adaptation and mitigation.

Under this, Microsoft will build a new platform to provide digital support to the UNFCCC’s Enhanced Transparency Framework. The framework will allow advanced analysis of global climate data by creating a new global climate data hub and an AI-powered data analytics platform.
