The UAE’s Technology and Innovation Institute (TII) has made its AI model, Falcon 40B, open-source and royalty-free, catering to the global demand for inclusive access to AI. Ranked first in Hugging Face’s Large Language Model (LLM) rankings, Falcon 40B surpasses competitors like Meta’s LLaMA and Stability AI’s StableLM.

With the Apache 2.0 software license, users can access relevant patents, ensuring security and effective governance. TII aims to cultivate an ecosystem of collaboration and innovation, accelerating AI development for diverse applications worldwide.
