The Quarkus team has started developing an extension based on the Java re-implementation of the Langchain library, known as LangChain4J (originally implemented in Python or JavaScript).
This was sparked by Lize Raes’s “Java Meets AI” presentation at Devoxx Belgium. Lize Raes is a strategic advisor and spokesperson for LangChain for Java (LangChain4J). Developers can incorporate Large Language Models (LLM) into Quarkus applications with the help of this extension. Midway through November 2023, Quarkus LangChain4J, version 0.1, was made available to the general public.
The quarkus-langchain extension, in contrast to traditional code, preserves this method of communication with LLMs by letting the developer specify the task’s parameters in plain language.
