The developer of the contentious Steam Early Access launch The Day Before, Fntastic, has ceased operations immediately.
The company’s closure was announced in a statement posted to X, formerly Twitter, this evening. The Day Before launched last week to a resoundingly negative reception. The development of The Day Before was turbulent, with many claims that the game was a scam and didn’t live up to the developers’ promises. These accusations have been renewed in light of the shocking news of today.
“The Day Before failed financially, and we lack the funds to continue,” according to a statement released by Fntastic.
