At its annual Datanova conference, analytics software provider Starburst unveiled a number of updates to its Enterprise and Galaxy offerings to support analytics and AI workloads for businesses. Trino, an open source, distributed SQL query engine for big data that enables users to query data from multiple data sources within a single query, is available in an enterprise version through the company’s data management and analytics platform, Starburst Enterprise. On the other hand, the business’s managed Trino SQL query engine service is called Starburst Galaxy. A low-code interface, a private preview of data products along with a data catalogue, a Python-supporting environment, and the Warp Speed indexing and caching solution are some of the new features.
