Stability AI introduces an open-source language model

Stability AI Ltd., a start-up in artificial intelligence, has just released StableLM, an open-source language model that can produce both text and code. The start-up intends to develop a number of language models, with StableLM serving as the first.

The series’ upcoming installments are expected to have more intricate architectural designs. After the start-up released a significant update to Stable Diffusion a few days ago, the StableLM language model was introduced with two versions.

The first has 3 billion configuration parameters, which specify how a neural network will approach data processing. Seven billion such settings are present in the second version.
