Sourcegraph introduces AI coding assistant Cody into general availability

The startup Sourcegraph Inc., best known for creating a universal code search tool, has declared that its chatbot Cody, which is powered by generative artificial intelligence, is now available to the general public.

Developers can use Cody, an AI assistant, to generate code blocks, provide test cases, code completion in editors, answer technical questions, and more. Cody uses intelligent code context. Cody’s knowledge of more than just the code in the file the developer is looking at or a single repository sets it apart from other AI assistants on the market.

With Sourcegraph’s specialized technology, it can search and navigate through an entire company’s codebase.
