Santa Clara-based Solix Technologies announced the release of Solix Common Data Platform (CDP) 3.0 this week, describing it as a “multi-cloud, data fabric solution” aimed at businesses ranging from banking and insurance to healthcare.
The CDP functions as a centralized repository that arranges the diverse data assets of an organization, as the name suggests. When questioned about the impetus for the platform update, Solix pointed to the need to support advanced analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) applications across multi-cloud environments, evolving privacy regulations, and managing “petabyte-scale data volumes” as the main issues addressed in CDP 3.0.
