Silicom Ltd., a networking and data infrastructure solutions provider, announced a new line of Edge AI products. In addition to the AI products, it collaborates with Hailo, an AI chipmaker.
The new line of products combines Hailo’s AI accelerators into Silicom’s current Edge platforms. The integration addresses performance challenges for Edge AI use cases. Thus, Silicom’s products can provide AI inference and visual processing at the edge at a better price/performance ratio.
Liron Eizenman, Silicom’s CEO, says combining Hailo’s chips into their products makes it cost-effective to move behavior analytics, facial recognition, human intrusion detection, and vehicle analytics to the edge.
