Sentinel, HashiCorp’s policy-as-code framework, has received a number of updates. Improved import configuration syntax, a new static import feature, support for named functions, and per-policy parameter values are some of the new features.
In order to determine whether a value is undefined, new helper functions have been added. An enhanced import configuration system was added in 0.19. This offers a uniform naming scheme and an HCL-based import configuration that is more consistent.
The default configuration for the imports and plugins used within a policy can now be overridden using the import block.
