Qualcomm’s new ARM-based laptop chip, Snapdragon X Elite, can deliver potent performance, matching some of the best hardware from Intel and AMD. The chip outperforms Intel’s Core i7 and Core i9 Raptor Lake mobile CPUs and AMD’s top Ryzen 8000-series mobile CPUs in Geekbench 6’s single-core and multi-core tests.
The Snapdragon X Elite features 12 Oryon cores, 42MB cache, and a 4.3GHz peak turbo frequency. The chip is 60% more performant than the i5-1145H and twice as fast as Intel’s i7-1355U and i7-1360P while consuming just a third of the power.
