Paessler has launched the multi-platform probe for PRTG, enabling network monitoring across various subnetwork types and non-Windows environments such as Linux and ARM infrastructures.
This new capability provides unparalleled flexibility, allowing monitoring of diverse platforms, including Debian, Ubuntu, RedHat, Raspberry Pi, and NAS systems. Previously, probes required a Windows machine, but this update allows for a consistent monitoring experience without sacrificing performance.
The multi-platform probe supports monitoring across firewalls and remote locations, implements TLS 1.3 encryption for security, and offers sensor support for ICMP, SNMP, HTTP, and REST for both on-premises and cloud deployments.
