Oracle Launches HeatWave GenAI with In-Database AI Capabilities for Enhanced Data Analytics

Oracle has announced the general availability of HeatWave GenAI, which introduces in-database large language models (LLMs), an automated in-database vector store, and scale-out vector processing. This allows customers to use GenAI without needing AI expertise or moving data to a separate vector database.

HeatWave GenAI is immediately available in all Oracle Cloud regions at no extra cost to HeatWave customers. With HeatWave GenAI, developers can create a vector store for enterprise unstructured content with a single SQL command and perform natural language searches without data leaving the database.
