According to a recent announcement by OpenAI, using the application programming interfaces, developers can now incorporate the ChatGPT and Whisper models from OpenAI LLC into their software. The application programming interface, or API, is a conduit through which programs exchange information and instructions.
OpenAI said it enables an application to delegate a task to another workload when certain conditions are met. For instance, a marketing application can ask an artificial intelligence tool to translate advertisement copy into a different language. OpenAI debuted its first new API for its ChatGPT model.
Prior to this release, ChatGPT was primarily accessible via a graphical user interface, preventing developers from easily integrating it into their applications. The new API introduced today eliminates this restriction.
