According to reports, Microsoft Corp. intends to give Bing a new search function that is supported by OpenAI LLC’s ChatGPT artificial intelligence platform.
The development was reported late on Tuesday by The Information, which cited two people with knowledge of the situation. Before the end of March, Microsoft’s ChatGPT-powered search feature is anticipated to go live. Some search queries will reportedly receive natural language responses from the feature as opposed to a list of results that match the query.
However, it’s anticipated that Bing will keep handling the majority of searches in the same way. A report by The Information claims that in addition to responding to user inquiries, Microsoft may also use ChatGPT for other purposes.
