Microsoft offers the Copilot app for Android at no cost

Microsoft Corp. has made its Copilot artificial intelligence assistant available for free on an Android app. The application, referred to as Microsoft Copilot, was made accessible this week.

Speculation has been made by some observers that an iOS version may soon follow suit. Customers do not need to have a Microsoft account in order to download and use the app.

Using prompts in natural language, Copilot can produce text, code, and images. Prompts may contain both text and images, according to users. For instance, a user could give Copilot a picture of a router and ask it to describe what it does.
