Microsoft launches AI copilot for Power Apps to improve low-code development

Microsoft just unveiled a next-generation AI copilot in Microsoft Power Apps that will let users create applications and the data that powers them by describing their needs through a series of conversational steps.

The company claims that this release is a step toward the next evolution of code abstraction, moving from custom code to low-code to natural language authoring where humans and machines can collaborate on app development side by side.

After the first natural language prompt, users can speak with Copilot to change the app as needed, like adding columns to data tables.
