Meta has unveiled Purple Llama, an initiative aimed at furnishing developers with open-source instruments to assess and enhance the reliability and security of generative AI models prior to their public deployment.

In order to ensure AI safety, Meta underlined the necessity of teamwork, saying that problems with AI cannot be solved separately. The company stated that as worries about large language models and other AI technologies grow, Purple Llama aims to create a common foundation for creating safer genAI.

In a blog post, Meta stated, “We want to level the playing field and create a center of mass for open trust and safety because the people building AI systems can’t address the challenges of AI in a vacuum.”
