Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced that it has acquired Pachyderm, a privately held open-source vendor, to enhance its artificial intelligence (AI) development capabilities and enable reproducible AI at scale.

Pachyderm, based in San Francisco, was established in 2014 and has already raised USD 28 million in funding. The acquisition’s financial details are not being made public. Machine learning (ML) operations workflows are made possible by Pachyderm’s open-source data pipeline technology.

The company said that with Pachyderm, users can also specify how source data should be manipulated and configured to optimize it for artificial intelligence.
