Harness unveils new code management instruments for its software delivery platform

Harness Inc., a well-funded startup that assists developers in releasing code to production more quickly, has introduced four new tools for its namesake software platform.

The business also unveiled the Gitness open-source project. It’s a platform for hosting code that Harness promotes as a GitHub substitute. One of the four new tools it introduced for its platform is powered by Gitness.

Historically, software development teams released updates every few weeks or months. Continuous integration and continuous delivery, or CI/CD, is a methodology that enables this increased development velocity.

To assist developers in managing their code files, Harness also unveiled the open-source Gitness tool. It enables software teams to store all of an application’s code in a single repository for convenient access, much like GitHub.
