A new service called gpulist.ai has launched, which allows anyone to rent a GPU cluster by card and hour. The service is similar to Craigslist, where people with GPU clusters make listings detailing system specifications and cost per GPU per hour, and users can contact sellers to arrange a rental.
AI startup investor and former GitHub CEO Nat Friedman announced the site. Despite GPU clusters costing at least hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars to build, 13 listings on the site offer clusters for rent, some with flexible terms, but others requiring renters to commit to long-term or large-quantity rentals.
