Google Cloud, the cloud division of Google LLC, announced that Duet AI for Developers will provide generative artificial intelligence support to software developers where they work—in developer environments and editors.
The tech giant is entering the AI-powered coding assistant market for the first time with Duet AI for Developers, which goes up against GitHub Inc.’s Copilot and Amazon.com Inc.’s CodeWhisperer. It now comes with Duet AI for Workspace, which was released to the public in August.
This product is associated with a generative AI program that Google first revealed during an early testing release of Duet AI for Cloud in May.
