A single-tenant version of the software-as-a-service (SaaS) edition of GitLab’s continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) platform is now accessible to a select group of customers.
The GitLab Dedicated option, according to David DeSanto, vice president of product at GitLab, offers all the advantages of a cloud platform without potentially violating any compliance regulations. The single-tenant edition of the platform, according to DeSanto, ensures that all data stored in the cloud is isolated and is designed to be deployed on a cloud platform chosen by the customer. Additionally, he added, access to GitLab Dedicated is made possible through a secure private network connection.
When GitLab Dedicated becomes generally available in 2023, support for other cloud platforms will be added. Initially, GitLab Dedicated is only made available on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud.
