Container development software provider Docker Inc. announced the acquisition of AtomicJar Inc., a well-funded startup, to expand its testing capabilities.
Neither company provided a price, but given that AtomicJar had raised USD 25 million in a Series A funding round in January, bringing its total amount raised to more than USD 29 million, it appears likely that Docker gave over a sizeable sum.
The primary product of AtomicJar is an improved edition of that open-source program, which offers an integrated testing platform used by developers creating web frameworks, databases, and applications.
It is claimed that developers can produce more robust software and become more productive with AtomicJar’s platform. The companies those developers work for may consequently become more flexible.
