Circle Internet Services Inc., the provider of the software development and deployment platform, notified its users of a security breach that occurred over the holidays and advised them to change their passwords.

Software developers, engineers, information technology teams, and DevOps teams use the CircleCI continuous integration and delivery platform to automate the delivery of software and speed up the process. More than a million users utilize the platform for their projects.

The company is requesting that users change any passwords, keys, or digital certificates that might be stored in environment variables or development contexts or that might be embedded in their code while the investigation is ongoing. The API tokens used by all projects to access or use CircleCI’s resources have all been invalidated and must be replaced.
