Developer Flavourworks’ game Erica has been purchased by Telltale for an undisclosed sum. Telltale refers to London-based Flavourworks as a “mobile-first, next-generation studio.”
The business has created a proprietary software program called TouchVideo that enables it to produce immersive media experiences by fusing video content with interactive gameplay elements that let users control the story that is being told in front of them.
The acquisition will enable the studio to “elevate” the development of its own original franchises, according to Flavourworks CEO Zack Slatter.
