Descope Inc., a provider of password-free authentication, revealed a sizable USD 53 million seed round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and GGV Capital for its platform that enables app developers to integrate user management and authorization.

The company asserts that it offers a “developer-friendly” platform that enables programmers to easily add passwordless authentication to any application with just a few lines of code by utilizing a variety of integration techniques, including no-code/low-code, its own software development kit, and application programming interfaces.

This is intended to provide developers with a way to manage user authentication more easily across all applications they create without having to invest the time and resources necessary to build their own.
