Kaskada Inc., a startup that aims to make it easier to develop artificial intelligence applications, has been acquired by DataStax Inc., the company has announced. The agreement’s terms weren’t made public.
Investors had previously given USD 9.8 million to Kaskada, most of which came from a Series A funding round completed in 2020. Base d in Santa Clara, California, DataStax is offering an enterprise edition of the Apache Cassandra database. Popular NoSQL database Cassandra has extensive reliability optimizations and can process large amounts of data.

Another open-source project used to switch between applications, Apache Pulsar, is also offered by the business in a managed cloud version.
