The open-source Conan 2.0 package manager, developed by JFrog, is scheduled to launch in February.

According to a JFrog representative this week, the upgrade includes a new public Python API, improved build system integrations, and a new graph model that more accurately depicts the relationships between packages in C and C++. According to Stephen Chin, vice president of developer relations at JFrog, “Conan 2.0 takes Conan to the next level.”

The upgrade is planned to offer better infrastructure and support for C and C++ builds. Meanwhile, the cleaner syntax will provide a better method of defining C and C++ recipes. Problems with the dependency graph will also be fixed.
