Cohere updates its flagship LLM to include support for custom data connectors

A connector development tool has been released by well-funded artificial intelligence startup Cohere Inc. for its flagship Command large language model.

Clients can use the tool to create integrations that allow Command to get information from outside programs. Aidan Gomez, one of the eight researchers who created the Transformer neural network architecture in 2017, serves as co-founder and CEO of Toronto-based Cohere.

After raising USD 270 million in a Series C round, the company reportedly achieved a USD 2.2 billion valuation in July. Major tech companies such as Nvidia Corp. and Oracle Corp. participated in the investment.
