CNCF designates OpenFeature as a software development feature flag standardization incubating project

The Cloud Native Computing Foundation has approved OpenFeature, an open-source specification that offers a community-based and vendor-neutral application programming interface for feature flagging in software development, as the newest project to be incubated.

The recent declaration is consistent with the OpenFeature project, which is assisting in hastening the application development community’s adoption of feature flags.

Feature flags are essentially an application-integrated switch that lets developers turn on and off particular features in an app at runtime without having to write any new code.
