Chinese online retailer JD.com Inc. has revealed plans to release a ChatGPT-like artificial intelligence chatbot with features similar to those of OpenAI LLC’s ChatGPT.

According to reports, ChatJD, the chatbot developed by JD.com, is an “industrial version” of ChatGPT. It is anticipated to give special attention to use cases in the retail and financial industries. For their e-commerce websites, ChatJD might enable online retailers to automatically create product summaries, claims CNBC.

According to reports, the chatbot can also “help with financial analysis.” JD.com is reportedly planning to use its knowledge of e-commerce, logistics, and financial services to give ChatJD an advantage over competing services. This week, Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. also revealed plans to introduce a ChatGPT rival.
