AWS Application Composer, which is now generally available, is a visual builder that allows users to compose and configure serverless applications from AWS services backed by deployment-ready infrastructure as code (IaC). According to Amazon, AWS Application Composer enables the creation of serverless application prototypes and collaborative review of them, the creation of diagrams for documentation or wikis, and the onboarding of new team members to a project. Resources for Amazon API Gateway can now be directly connected to Amazon SQS, which reduces the amount of code required and eliminates the need to route requests through an AWS Lambda function. This improves reliability.
