Asus has launched a new BIOS update for select AMD motherboards, featuring a “Turbo Game Mode” to enhance gaming performance on Ryzen processors.
This mode optimizes single-threaded performance by disabling one of the CPU’s two chiplets and turning off Simultaneous Multi-Threading (SMT), catering to games that don’t utilize high core counts. Initially available for the Asus ROG Crosshair Hero motherboard, other models will also receive the update.
Users can activate this feature through the BIOS interface, allowing easy toggling between optimized gaming performance and multi-threaded setups for different tasks.
