Amazon Web Services (AWS) has introduced its latest innovation, the Graviton4 System-On-Chip (SoC). This 96-core ARM-based CPU, developed by AWS’s Annapurna Labs subsidiary, marks a significant stride in custom silicon design among cloud service providers.
The Graviton4 promises to rival processors from industry giants AMD and Intel, boasting a remarkable 30% increase in compute performance compared to its predecessor, Graviton3.
Additionally, Amazon claims the new processor exhibits a 40% speed boost in database applications and a 45% improvement in Java applications.
