Aira and Intel use AI to Improve 5G MU-MIMO Efficiency and Throughput

Aira Technologies has successfully integrated its AI-based solution into Intel FlexRAN reference software and CapGemini-based DU stack running on a Dell PowerEdge server. This integration resulted in over 2x improvement in spectral efficiency without the need for additional AI hardware like GPUs.

The AI-enhanced channel prediction helped minimize inter-user interference to maximize multi-user MIMO performance. By integrating the Aira AI-based software into Intel FlexRAN reference software running on the Dell PowerEdge server, Aira achieved its spectral efficiency improvements without compromising the critical timing requirements of baseband processing.
