Encora, a global next-generation digital engineering services provider, today announced the closing of its acquisition of Romanian software engineering services company Softelligence. The acquisition, originally announced on May 16, 2023, creates Encora’s first fulfillment centers in Europe and further enhances the company’s ability to provide nearshore services to clients in the Americas, Asia, Australia and now Europe.

Softelligence provides leading European insurance companies and banks with key digital engineering services covering electronic bid and commitment flows, automation of claims processing using artificial intelligence, fraud detection in the field of personal and commercial insurance contracts, corporate and special insurance contracts using machine learning algorithms or digital loans. Upon completion of the acquisition, Softelligence will be rebranded as Encora.

Encora has reached more than 9,000 associates worldwide and will now expand to include fulfillment centers in Bucharest and Craiova (Romania) and Skopje (Macedonia). The new team will support Encora’s strategic expansion into Europe and strengthen its capabilities to serve clients in new markets.
