Denodo, a leader in data management, announced that the Denodo Platform offers seamless integration with Amazon Bedrock large language models (LLMs), to streamline the development of powerful new GenAI enterprise applications with security, privacy, and responsible AI.

At Denodo, AI and Machine Learning are key technologies to enable data democratisation that can help automate and streamline critical tasks in data management. This powerful combination helps in the creation of virtual assistants and agents that can draw on myriad data sources to understand user requests, automatically break down tasks, engage in dialogue to collect information, and take actions to fulfil the request.

Despite the promises of GenAI, many organisations struggle to build GenAI applications that meet business goals. The Denodo Platform feeds Amazon Bedrock LLMs with governed, trusted data from all applicable data sources, within a retrieval augmented generation (RAG) framework, and leveraging Amazon OpenSearch as the vector database.

The Denodo Platform enables a unified semantics layer above the underlying data sources, which not only standardises the semantics, but it also enables end-to-end data governance and security. With this architecture, all data in the organisation can be accessed through RAG-enabled queries, yet data is only exposed to the authorised user who asks the question.

“We hear from our customers that the key for success in using AI and ML applications is in having trusted data. Integrations like this from Denodo solves this challenge on behalf of our customers and decreases the time to build robust, secure, and accurate AI applications,” said Bojidar Krapchev, Head of Emerging Technologies Partnerships, AWS.

GenAI application developers using the Denodo Platform have access to an AI-based copilot that streamlines the creation of data views, administration, and system stewardship.

“Such will allow Denodo and AWS’s common customers to enhance their GenAI led data management and data delivery by leveraging Denodo’s logical data management capabilities alongside the scalability, reliability, and security of AWS infrastructure and services,” said Alberto Pan, Chief Technology Officer at Denodo.

“This integration supports Bedrock LLMs with unified, secure access to an organisation’s data sources, enabling organisations to leverage GenAI applications that deliver powerful, precise responses to information requests.”
