Axis Communications, the industry leader in video surveillance, announced the premiere of its latest product and solution offerings at the ISC West security conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. This premiere will include a series of panoramic cameras, two dome cameras, and a new thermal camera designed for large-scale remote temperature monitoring. Each of these devices is built on ARTPEC-8 chip technology and equipped with a Deep Learning Processing Unit (DLPU) that enables advanced video analytics to be performed at the network edge. The new products once again demonstrate the company’s commitment to making deep learning capabilities available to all Axis customers.
“Artificial intelligence (AI)-based and video analytics technologies are rapidly evolving and providing new solutions to security and business-related challenges,” said Fredrik Nilsson, vice president, Americas, Axis Communications, Inc. “Axis has taken a commitment to putting deep learning capabilities at the edge, and this makes our ARTPEC-8 chip with DLPU at the heart of our new cameras by delivering greater intelligence, efficiency, and opportunity. Visitors to the Axis booth at ISC West will be able to see a demo of our recently released cameras and meet our ecosystem partners to discover incredible solutions that leverage our technology and extend system capabilities.”
